Hiya creatures,
I am Atmaya Vartak, a postgraduate in life sciences and I come from the city of dreams, the one that never sleeps. I initially worked in nutrition and food science but fell in love with drosophila, the Cinderella of genetics which brought me to this fly land. During my college years I was a part of social service activities through NSS and feel that research should always be for the benefit of the society.
Apart from research, I am a trained Bharatnatyam dancer which I feel is a way of connecting myself with nature. I like spending time in nature trekking, painting and a good laugh.
